Leah was out in L.A. last night when we asked about Kirstie’s recent Howard Stern interview … when Kirstie bashed Leah for criticizing Scientology after leaving the Church.
Kirstie called Leah an anti-faith “bigot” who picks on Scientologists for no reason … then said Leah was her “enemy.”
But last night, Leah was stoic … until we chatted about Kirstie’s new sitcom. Check the clip to hear what Leah really thinks.
Two sickos got busted today for allegedly stealing parts of the Porsche Paul Walker died in Saturday afternoon … according to the Sheriff’s Department.
The accused thieves allegedly made off with a T-top from the roof of the Porsche Carrera GT while it was being towed from the accident site to an impound yard late Saturday night.
According to the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department … the two men snatched the part when the tow truck stopped at a red light — however the truck driver saw them drive off, and helped detectives identify them.
We’re told 18-year-old Jameson Witty was arrested today — and his cohort, who is out of state, has been contacted and will surrender soon.
The T-top was recovered in Witty’s home — and, remarkably, he actually posted a pic of the loot on his Instagram and bragged, “Piece of Paul walkers car, took it off a tow truck at a stop light.”
Alleged criminals are dumb.
Witty and his pal are expected to be booked for felony grand theft and tampering with evidence.
Another apparent blunder by police in the Jameis Winston case … TMZ Sports has learned there WAS surveillance footage at the bar where Jameis and the accuser were allegedly boozing before the incident … but since cops delayed the investigation, the video was written over and lost for good.
We spoke with the owner of Potbelly’s bar in Tallahassee, Fl … who tells us investigators only RECENTLY came to his establishment and asked for footage that could have shown the interaction between Jameis and the accuser in the hours leading up to the alleged rape.
According to the search warrant, the alleged victim told police she had been boozing hard at Potbelly’s before the incident (5 or 6 shots that night) … and she left with a black guy who she later ID’d as Winston.
Problem is … the incident happened back in Dec. 2012 … but cops never bothered to go to the bar and ask for the footage until TMZ Sports began to poke around last month.
The owner of the bar tells us … he would have gladly complied with police, but his video system only holds footage for 30 days … so the video from the night in question is long gone.
11:35 AM PT — The accuser’s family has issued a statement … saying, “[the accuser] has grave concerns that her experience, as it unfolded in the public eye and through social media, will discourage other victims of rape from coming forward and reporting.”
11:03 AM PT — We spoke with Jameis’ grandmother, who’s thrilled with the announcement … telling us, “God is good all the time.”
Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston will NOT be charged with a crime stemming from allegations he raped an FSU student back in 2012.
The announcement was just made by State Attorney Willie Meggs, who said, “No charges will be filed against anyone in this case.”
Meggs said there were “several people in the room” when the incident happened.
Meggs said there was a 2ND MAN’S DNA discovered … insinuating the accuser slept with another person around the time she had sex with Jameis. Meggs said the 2nd man’s DNA belonged to an unidentified person.
Meggs says Jameis’ DNA was on the accuser’s underwear … and the 2nd person’s DNA was on her shorts. He also said there were no outward signs of trauma.
Meggs said the timing of the case was NOT driven by the FSU football schedule.
Meggs said the case would’ve gone a lot better if “we all would have gotten involved earlier.”
Meggs said the accuser’s blood alcohol level was .04 at the time it was taken … which Meggs described as “not very high.”
Meggs says … the State Attorney will NOT investigate the Tallahassee PD … though he did admit things might had gone differently had they known about the case earlier.
He also criticized the police for not interviewing more witnesses in the aftermath of the incident.
There had been rampant speculation and buzz on the Internet that a shadowy figure seen around 23 seconds into the video of the burning Porsche Carrera GT … was Walker trying to get out of the vehicle, but sources connected to the investigation now say it just isn’t so … for several reasons.
First, the sources tell us that, based on photographs of the wreckage … Paul’s body was pinned in an area of the car that makes it clear he couldn’t have been flailing outside the vehicle.
Also …we’re told that based on the injuries he suffered, Paul died within a nanosecond of impact, and therefore it’s impossible for the image in the video to be him.
It’s not clear how long after impact the video starts, but clearly more than a nanosecond.
As for what the image really is — we’re told law enforcement has watched the video, and based on evidence from the crash site … it appears to be a part of the car’s roof burning.
A close examination of the video showing the Paul Walker‘s Porsche engulfed in flames reveals a shadowy image appearing to flail.
There is now a swirl of speculation that the image, seen roughly 23 seconds into the clip, is Paul attempting to escape the death trap.
Law enforcement sources who participated in the investigation tell TMZ … there is strong evidence that Paul and Roger Rodas never got out of their seats, but when pressed they would not conclusively say that Paul didn’t attempt an escape.
Our sources say … investigators are confident Roger absolutely didn’t move — but they would not definitely say that about Paul.
One source says it appears both men were trapped in their seats and therefore did not attempt an escape, but the key word is “appears.”
We’re told law enforcement is looking at the video now.
We broke the story … the L.A. County Coroner’s Office says Paul died from both trauma from the crash AND burn injuries, which insinuates the actor survived the initial impact and the fire was partially responsible for his death.
Keri Russell had a frightening wake-up call early this morning … when she awoke to intruders burglarizing her home … TMZ has learned.
Law enforcement tells TMZ … the “Felicity” star was awakened about 3 AM this morning in her NYC townhouse when she heard noises upstairs. She got up to investigate and discovered her living room window and front door were wide open.
According to police, the thieves escaped … and Keri reported they made off with a Filson handbag, a laptop computer and a necklace.
Cops tell us … they arrested two guys — a father-son team — several blocks away for allegedly burglarizing another home … and police are now looking at them as possible suspects in the Russell break-in.
Paul Walker died from the combined effects of traumatic and thermal injuries sustained from the Nov. 30 car crash … this according to the L.A. County Coroner’s Office.
Translation — Paul did not die from the impact of the crash alone. He burned to death after the Porsche GT crashed into a tree and a pole and exploded into flames.
The man who was driving the Porsche GT, Roger Rodas, died from multiple traumatic injuries suffered upon impact. Burning was not listed as a factor in his death.
The coroner says toxicology results for both men will be available in 6 to 8 weeks.
The Medical Examiner says both deaths have been ruled as an accident.
Sources in the coroner’s office tell us … both men were positively ID’d by using dental records.
Walker and Rodas were killed Saturday in Santa Clarita, CA when the Porsche GT they were in veered off the road, slammed into a pole and exploded in flames. The cause of that crash is still under investigation.
Paul was 40. Rodas was 38.
There’s a reason Bruce Jenner threw on some blue lipstick … his favorite Kris Jenner wig … and shaped his eyebrows perfectly — the guy just got a NEW MOVIE ROLE, TMZ has learned.
Jenner scored himself a part in the upcoming flick, “The Hungover Games” … which spoofs “The Hunger Games” and “The Hangover” … along with other films like “Ted” and “Django.”
As for Bruce’s role — he plays one of the weird futuristic “Hunger Games” play-by-play announcer guys … alongside former NFL star Hank Baskett. No word when the film will be released.
It’s not Bruce’s first acting gig — he’s been in all sorts of stuff including, “CHiPs,” ” Murder She Wrote” and “Can’t Stop the Music.” Memba the crop top????
One of Eddie Murphy‘s baby mamas is now suing over “Hollywood Exes” — claiming she came up with the idea for the reality show back in 2008 and producers STOLE it from her … then cast one of Eddie’s OTHER exes in her place.
Tamara Johnson filed the lawsuit against producers Lynch-Dyson Entertainment, claiming she pitched an idea to Vernon Lynch in 2008 called “The Hollywood ExClub” about a group of celebrity baby mamas … inspired by her own relationship with Eddie Murphy … but the discussions went nowhere.
Then in 2011, Tamara says she got wind VH1 was making a show called “Hollywood Exes” — produced by Lynch-Dyson — which she claims was a complete rip-off of her idea.
The show eventually premiered in 2012, starring girls Tamara had in mind for her own show … like Andrea Kelly. But the biggest slap in the face … Eddie Murphy’s other ex Nicole Murphy was cast instead of Tamara.
Tamara claims she contacted Lynch-Dyson many times about getting credit — and money — for her role in creating the show … but she’s been nothing but rebuffed.
She’s now suing for at least $1 million. Calls to Lynch-Dyson weren’t returned.
